@Al Beahn and @Jennifer Lee CCIM is a designation. It does not qualify you for any type of license to sell real estate. It is about learning the commercial real estate business and how to evaluate properties. This is absolutely the best information on evaluating deals and markets. It is four different modules that are a week long each.
Anyone can join the organization, but you can only mention CCIM if you have earned the designation. One of the criteria to get the designation, in addition to passing the classes, is to sell a certain amount of real estate. (currently $10M???)
I have taken two modules so I can personally attest this is very intense training. You will look at deals in a much more sophisticated way then you ever have before. I didn't follow up because I did not expect to sell that much commercial real estate. My business has taken me in a different direction.
