The Section 8 Bible series
I highly recommend The Section 8 Bible series of landlording books written by Micheal McLean. There is volume I and volume II available from Amazon.
I think the information is relevant to anyone who is a landlord be it Section 8 or regular rentals. Also a great series for anyone thinking about getting into the landlording game.
... I also purchased his Lease package which is excellent and saved me A LOT of time.
Anyway I just wanted to pass on a positive book review. I received volume II today in the mail at lunch and just finished it! Awesome!
If you do not have it already and are interested in this subject matter a good compliment is Micheal Rossi's book "1 Minute To Rental Property Riches". Another no BS book that is straight to the point.
Take Care,

I own about 50 non section 8 rentals and bought the book because my contractor keeps asking me for help with section 8 stuff and I know nothing about it. After reading these books, I can tell you I still know very little about it. I already knew my tenants were going to be bad, I knew to take out everything I dont need, and I know that is you give a tenant and inch they will try to take a mile.
The book was not professionally editied and it looks to be written by someone without a high school education. It is funny at times, but lacks real substance. It is also specific to his area and rules change by area with section 8.
It is worth reading if you are starting from zero in the rental business, but then again, so are most books at that point. I am hard pressed to find a a book that I can make it though these days as it seems to be the same stuff over and over again. I need to find some sort of advanced book.
