Just received "the book on flipping houses"
just got mine too earlier this week but haven't been able to get to read it yet. So glad to hear it's all it's been pumped up to be!
I did watch an interview with J Scott that Brandon did with him last night after the webinar. It was pretty interesting. Depressing to hear that the money has really dried up big time for REI but also interesting.
I received both of J Scott's books earlier this week as well, the flipping book and estimating rehab costs.
I'm only a chapter or so into the flipping book but as mentioned it is very addicting. It is well written and an easy read, easy to follow guide. Excellence!
Loving it so far. Going to attempt to knock them out this weekend for sure.
Thanks folks...really appreciate the kind words!
Thanks for the review! i was debating on wether I should get it or not, considering that I'm not into flipping AT ALL. When you got the book did it come with the book on estimating rehab costs?

I bought the book today, downloaded the zip file but can't unzip it using iPad.
Hey @Clary Roberts - Send me an email to the address in my signature... I'll send you links to open on your iPad...

If you purchase off BP, you get both books...

Thanks Scott! Links worked great no problema and book is incredible...has me wound up like a two dollar watch! Good job!
Just finished reading this book myself, and wow, this is definitely a must read, I'm so excited to get started and now I know what to look for and how to do it.
If you want to start flipping this book is a must read, @J Scott is a genius, as long as grammatical errors don't infuriate you lol. Bigger pockets needs to hire a better editor, but even still, GREAT READ!

And yes, I'm truly embarrassed by the editing, especially given my reputation as a "grammar Nazi." BP isn't to blame -- it was my fault. I edited it myself and didn't do a very good job (I was so exhausted after finishing the writing that I got lazy on the editing).
While I hope the minor mistakes don't detract too much from the book, I plan on putting out a second edition before the end of the year that will fix all of these (and will send new digital copies to anyone who purchased the first edition and wants the updates).
Again, my apologies...
Thanks for the humble response @J Scott, while a little annoying, like I said, it was awesome! I couldn't put it down. I read it over the course of about 2 weekends and I hate to read books. The last book I read was almost a decade ago so I think that says a lot about your book!
Didn't mean to be harsh or insult you. I had just finished reading it, so it was fresh on my mind lol. I'm still gonna buy your next book on estimating rehab costs. :)
I would rather have a book by someone "real", small flaws and all, then a polished book watered down by multiple editors that takes an extra six months to get to press.
