I attended a workshop and the asking price for a 3day seminar was 2000$ has anyone tried their workshop and become successful?

The Scott Yancey guru team comes to Hattiesburg once or twice a year and a friend of mine dragged me to one of his free presentations about a year ago. Not surprisingly, the speakers at the seminar were pretty motivational and did a great job at making the programs sound awesome. I remember the house flipping and tax lien seminars sounding particularly enticing. 

However, I highly doubt that there's anything he "teaches" you that you can't find on Bigger Pockets for free on the forums or in the podcasts. I'd say save your money. I didn't buy anything but I did get a free digital camera for sitting through the whole presentation though so it wasn't a total loss ;)
