Am I being scammed? Mentorship
My husband and I have been presented a 'very good' offer from a gentleman attending our church. He has offered to mentor us getting started in the real estate business, have access to his ample network, and all for a minimal charge.
He wants us to down pay $5000 Monday and asks we pay him 7% on the first 3 deals we close.
This gentleman claims he cowrote a book with David Shamy for 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad', spent thousands on and taught RDPD classes, and has been doing this for years and has acquired a vast knowledge.
I do not know how to check this mans credentials, I do know the right questions to ask to verify his claims.
Can anyone lead me in the direction to unveil this mans authenticity or inform me if this is reasonable deal?
Thank you so much,
TW
