Private Lending legitimacy
How do we verify that a private lender is actually legitimate and not just a scam? :)

Talk to them in person or at least on the phone. Go to their office. Do some digging. Check their NMLS or whatever it is for their loan license.
Make sure things sound legit. When you see a picture of some white looking dude and then you talk to them and they sound like they are a Nigerian Prince that do not have a grasp of the English language you know something is wrong.
