Hi BP members! I am 22 years old and live here in Winnipeg. I have had real estate on my mind for about a year now and have been attempting to learn as much as possible before buying my first rental property... I am about 8 to 9 months away from purchasing. I am more than happy to attend any meet ups or simply network with other people who are also interested in real estate investing.

Question for everyone. What's your thoughts on purchasing a rental property in the River Heights, St.Boniface or St. Vital area, vs. Garden City or the nicer parts of the north end closer to main?

I'm looking to "house hack" my first purchase, so a duplex is ideally what I am looking for.
