Heating Oil Tank Contamination
Ok everyone,
Looking for information on dealing with a "significant contamination" from having an old heating oil tank removed. The house is under contract to sell, the inspection requested the owners to remove the old tank and then they found "significant contamination". I am working with the owners to help them through this problem. I am looking for any local investors that have dealt with this and have a referral for contractors. I am looking for all investors for information on steps to take if they have dealt with this before. Sounds like the owners are kinda getting the run around between the county and the "professionals" they are dealing with. The owners inherited this home and it was a rental, they do not want rental properties, this just validates that for them! I will be meeting with them on Friday this week and want to have some information and direction to go. I am also posting this in the Pro forum.
Thanks for all your help,
