New foreign investor making a start in the US

Hello Bigger Pockets, I am an expat looking to start investing in the US, I've been listening to bigger pockets for some time now and I feel like i am just about ready to buy my first property. I have my deposit and pre approval with a couple of lending companies.  I was just hoping there might be some foreign investors in the South Florida area that might have any advice or be kind enough to help me avoid any pitfalls. Open to investing anywhere in the US, I thought I would start in Florida, I am wanting to buy single family and multi family homes that cash flow and to set myself up for a future where I don't have to work 16 hour days. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
