REI Moving to SLC Looking for a Rental

My partner and I are moving to Salt Lake from Bellingham, Washington in September. In the next few years I'm developing a small real estate portfolio and we currently have enough saved up to make a sizeable down payment. Issue is, I'm currently in school to be a commercial pilot and won't have a significant income for the next year or so. So, we're looking to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom place in town.
