Does anyone have a preferred place to invest in a winter home?

We are happy, as Tulum (Mexico), where we work with real estate, has just been named as one of the top 6 places to invest in a winter home overseas by Investopedia.com. I was wondering if other investors have advice on a preferred place for a winter home (hot or cold)? We might consider a home somewhere else, too. Of course, everyone's welcome to ask me anything about Tulum.

Actually looking for some thing out side the USA. Love Jamaica, recently was In  Belize. Now my brother recently got married. His wifes family is from Barbados. If I have to stay in the USA the  gulf coast  beautiful beaches. Saraosota or some where close like North Port area.
