Austin Leads Nation in Biggest Drop in Active Listings
According to a March 4 Realtor.com report, Austin leads the nation in the largest drop in active listings compared with one year earlier. Here's more detail from the Austin Business Journal story:
"In February, Austin recorded the sharpest year-over-year drop in active listings in the nation. It also had the biggest year-over-year jump in the median listing price and the largest year-over-year decline in the number of days homes spent on the market. Metro-wide inventory hit an all-time low of 0.4 months in January, according to the Austin Board of Realtors."
Hard to have a seller's market stronger than this one. If you are looking to purchase in Austin, patience and a razor-sharp focus on your goals are key.
