Samsung buys 258 more acres in Austin
One of Austin's largest technology and manufacturing companies has grabbed a swath of land in Northeast Austin. Samsung Austin Semiconductor LLC purchased roughly 258 acres in late October around its massive campus off East Parmer Lane, according to deeds filed with Travis County. Recent zoning requests filed with the city indicate the land could one day be used for expansion, although there are no imminent plans.
