Builders and residential developers

Hi all.  I’m doing some research on the feasibility of investing in a small redevelopment project in Austin. It’s happening all over the city but in particular in south and east Austin the new builds are popping up like crazy. I’m wondering if anyone here has experience with builders that do either single- or multi-family builds in urban Austin that they would recommend (or avoid). I’d like to get some data on prices per sf, floor plans, lot selection criteria, etc but wanted to start somewhere better than just a Google search for builders.

If there are any local developers who have experience going through the whole tear down/build process I’d love to hear your experiences as well. Connecting as an investor with someone who is already doing these sorts of developments would also be of interest to me.

Many thanks!
