Investor friendly Mortgage lender in Austin or Meet UP.
Hello all
After couple weeks searching and asking questions, I have decided to choose Austin as my new place to call home. I will be buying a home before I move here so I need to find a good investor friendly lender for mortage Pre-Approval and for my future investing.
I will be in Austin Area on Friday Feb 8 to Monday Feb 11 and will stay and explore the south Round Rock area as that is the area I want to buy home.
Any meet up and real estate event happen those day ?
Also I don't have any job line up so I will be full time real estate investing. Any recommendation or suggestion on what I should do first after I move there ?

I hardly ever use conventional lenders, so can't help you there.
As far as Meetups:
If you are still here on the night of the 11th you should be able to catch this one:
ATX DealBlender on the 11th at 6:30 PM Mangia Pizza at 12001 Burnet Rd
If you can come a day earlier (on the 7th) you will catch these two: .
Monthly Meetup:
Private Lenders and Borrowers on the 7th at 6:30 at IRA Trust office, 100 E Anderson Ln #100
And a weekly networking lunch hour mixer Thursday, the 7th:
11:30am - 1pm networking Mastermind Meetup at Big Daddy's Burger & Bar at 9700 Research. That would also be on the 7th. This one is just a 30 seconds intro by all attendees, deal announcements, and biz card exchange.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were few others that fall into your 4-5 days here, but I can't think of any off top of my head.
Hopefully you've got some cashflow to support you since you have no paycheck from a job.
As to what steps to take - this will hugely depends on what your strategy is: rentals , flips, other??
If you're planning to do your own marketing or look for deals on your own, you probably already have a plan. If not, I'd hook up with an agent or broker to spent a couple of hours in front of MLS and get a sense of where the pockets with your desired combo of price/rent/age exists in the metro.
I'd give a shout to @Aaron Gordy and see if he is available to hook up. He is smart guy who understands rental markets well. Both a licensee and a savvy investor too. And he works hard!
