Ready to grow my investment in Austin

Hi all! My name is Amir, I joined BP about 5 years ago when I first got interested in investing (back in Boston). Over the past 5 years I have moved to Austin, bought a house in the South Lamar area and got married. My wife and I are ready to buy our first investment property, but I'm a bit overwhelmed on where to begin. I'm reading books, reviewing the forum, listening to podcast and trying my best to network.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions in the near future, but for now I just wanted to introduce myself! I'm looking forward to learning everything I can and getting started.

Amir,

Steps:

1. figure out goals for REI (long, short, cash flow, appreciation, assumptions, rentals, flips, combo?)

2. Assess assets, time, skills, etc...

3. Find an investor friendly agent/wholesaler(s)

4. Find a mentor (most important)

5. Lay out milestones for next 1,3,5, 10 year period +

+ more

Easy!
