Detached condos in Austin

Kabir Jain
Posted

Hi there,

Does anyone have experience investing in detached condos in Austin? Looking to purchase an investment home (importantly with relatively new construction) in central Austin and single family homes are generally out of my price range. Detached condos seem like a nice alternative with attractive rentability at a more affordable price (<$400K). It feels like a slightly different comparison of the typical condo vs. SFH debate given the condos appear more like houses vs. boxes in a high rise.

Anything specific to look out for with the ownership structure?

Thanks!

K
