Austin newbie investor - thoughts on New Braunfels

Hello...first post to BP:

I am looking to narrow down my search for my second investment property, SFH - $200K. Given that range, I have been researching the zip codes on the outskirts of Austin - Round Rock, Manor, Kyle/Buda). However, New Braunfels has gotten my attention due to the price and great schools. From my research, rents are comparable to Austin, while price is slightly lower, with better schools. Aware that New Braunfels is outside of the Austin market, anyone have info/thoughts/opinions on that area? My goal is to buy and hold. Thanks

Hi @Ken F. I think New Braunfels is very similar to Round Rock or Pflugerville but the big difference is it's vacinity to a city that is growing /expanding.  I would stay as close as you can to the heart of Austin.  I personally prefer Round Rock or Pflugerville.  Where are you located exactly? That could change some things....
