24M Software Engineer - Looking to Purchase first home

Arman Khondker
Posted

Hi all,

I work as a Software Engineer for a FAANG company and will be moving to Austin, Texas in the next few months. I am wanting to purchase my first home and do a house-hack approach where I rent out a few rooms. I am new to real estate and trying to understand the Austin market and what I need to consider. Can anyone please help/chime in?

@Arman Khondker it' a solid strategy for the Austin market. Are you looking at SFH and/or duplex for there house hack? There are some great strategies right now for owner occupied that are not being utilized as much as they should.

Thanks for the mention @Lucia Rushton!
