First timer looking to buy in Austin or surrounding
Hi BPers,
My husband and I are first timers looking to buy and hold a SFH property (3b, 2ba) in Austin or surrounding neighborhoods. The plan is to hold for at least 10+ years. A little cash flow would be great, but we're more focused on appreciation. Budget is $450k. We're being guided towards Hutto, Leander or Taylor.
Any suggestions?

Leander - Hutto - Taylor for ascending cashflow (generally speaking). 450k is plenty budget for 3b2b in Hutto and Taylor. Hutto particularly is well located to all the industrial growth around it (Georgetown, RR, PF access to 130 (to Manor and Giga) and now Taylor). Most builders don't allow investors for new construction, so look for homes built in the last decade or so.
