Strategies for Bull Market

Hi Fellow Dallas Residents,

I am new to real estate investing and thinking of purchasing my first home (to either simply rent out or live in and then rent/resell). Here is my concern, I will undoubtedly be moving to Portland, OR in two years. 1) Could I find an investment deal in this bull market worthwhile? 2) What strategies do you suggest for finding a deal in a market like this? I am concerned that Portland will not provide opportunities to invest in real estate.
