New Dallas resident looking to learn

Hi all

I am a new Dallas resident and want to get into real estate. I have a full-time accounting job but want to work towards my goal after work and on weekends. I don't have much experience in fixing houses so I want to learn how to repair/build. I want to learn BRRRR, but long term I want to have a few rentals and live off of the cash flow.

I would like to meet successful people to teach and guide me in the process.

Are there any meetings or events in DFW? I joined a few FB groups but it does not look like there are any activities. 

Any other advice or suggestions are appreciated.
