Solar Panels

Hello fellow DFW investors,

I know there are numerous posting on BP about solar panels but I wanted to take the opportunity to post my own and see if I can get feedback from those in the area.  I came across a great deal that has solar panels all over the rear slope of the dwelling.  In my limited knowledge as a former property adjuster I knew that 95% of the time those were leased and for usually a period of 20 years or more. In rare cases people had paid for them up front thus they owned them.

Anyone out there bought a flip or hold that had solar panels on the roof? If so, do you know how much typically run a month if they are leased? Did it deter buyers from buying the homes? How much does it skew the comps? I have solid comps nearby but none have panels.  Any insight anyone could share I would greatly appreciate it.

Best,

Eric
