Best zip codes in Pearland and Cypress TX for appreciation
Hi Everyone,
New to biggerpockets and investing in the Houston area. I am looking to buy a single family home in the Houston area. I have narrowed my research to either Pearland or Cypress (was looking at Katy also but now focusing on Pearland and Cypress specifically). I am looking to buy as a long term rental for appreciation (i.e. >10-15 yrs). Looking for some tips on which zip codes within Pearland and Cypress to target.
Price range is less than $200K and if less than $170 even better.

Hi @Tia Wilson!
I have one rental in Pearland (77581) and one in the Jersey Village area (just East of Cypress). My monthly cashflow in Pearland is greater than in JV, however the property consistantly needs more maintenance, as most of these houses were built around the 1930's VS 60s-90s in Cypress/JV.
Even so, the Pearland property value has increased about 30k since purchasing. The schools are great and I am looking to buy more in that general area because of how well it's treated me.
