Hi everyone, I've been listening to BiggerPockets for about a year now and I'm now finally taking action! I moved to Houston about 5 months ago so I feel like I've been able to get my bearings straight and have time to focus now. I live in the Washington Ave area and work downtown but I'm interested in starting to invest in the surrounding Houston areas. My goal for this year is to have two single family rentals somewhere within the $100K-$200K ARV range by the end of the year using the BRRRR method. I'm essentially starting off with no capital for a conventional loan but I have a well paying job that will help with that over time. I know there are a bunch of ways to finance a deal but I'm hoping to get some input from you all that apply to the Houston market. Right now you could say I have a little bit of analysis paralysis since I'm mainly analyzing deals on Zillow and reading a lot to continue with my education but I'd really like to accelerate things by taking action and meeting some local investors. I'm hoping to make some connections through meetups and also with any of you all on here.

I’m really glad these forums exist and are active and I’m looking forward to being part of this BP community!
