Is West U Still A Good Investment?
Hello, I have a home in west u and my neighbors house has come up for sale. It is unlivable and they're asking $600k. I have a nice home next door with no backyard really, just a basic 5k lot and adding this lot next door would be very nice and give me a unique lot. What I dont understand looking around is why are lots in west u 500-600k for 5k sq ft when 1 acre in memorial is maybe $2M. West U is nice, but why such a premium over memorial? What is the right price to pay at this moment for a nice 5000 sq ft lot next door to me and what are the costs to demolish an old home like that? They're asking a little over $600k but do you feel thats a good price? It seems like houston is really overheated right now with west u being at the top. What type of premium does having a double lot like that add to my home?
