Broker recommendations for on the side realtor, Houston

Hey Ya'll!

I just passed my TX state license exam and am about to look for a broker to work under. I decided to get my license because we have several rental properties and I'd like to be able to learn/ represent my own interests in the MLS market. I really only plan to use my license to buy a couple homes a year and help friends/ family moving in the area. My current job is in sales, and I don't have plans on doing real estate fulltime for the foreseeable future. Does anyone know of Houston brokers that are open to part time (or less) agents? What is a better relationship type to hold- commission, flat fee, something else? And out of those options, what are respectable percentages or fee ranges to expect to pay/make? I've heard it can be challenging to get under someone if you are not driven to be full time. Has anyone had experience with this and has any advice on how to speak to these points in an interview?

I appreciate any feedback and thanks for your time!
