Rentals in Memphis - Need advice

Hi BP friends,

I am out of state investor and considering an investment in Memphis area. The property I am considering is in southeast of Memphis (proximity of Mendenhall square shopping center). I would like to know if there are any areas I should avoid making an investment decision.  Are there any specific factors that I should consider in making my decision? How is the rental market in the area?

Thanks for your input in advance.

@Bhai Shah The key is to find a great team! Ideally you would find a company that has everything under one roof. Acquisitions team, renovation crews (fully licensed and insured), Property Mgmt., and a Real Estate Investment Brokerage in case you ever decide to sell.

By teaming up with a solid firm you can mitigate your risk and have some "boots on the ground" that have your best interest in mind.
