Charleston, SC Investment?

Posted

Are there any investors in the Charleston, SC area, specifically 29405 area, that can provide some feedback? I'm trying to grade the community and possible tenants, location, safety and appreciation. Also, are local investors experiencing difficulties due to the massive construction boom? I was raised not too far from the area but it's been over a decade since I've returned....but that's about to change!

Well, 29405 spans from C to A depending on location within that specified area. If you're on the north end (just south of 526) you have Park Circle and the Mixon development. That area is really flourishing (A with some B class). South of that is going to to be some B and heavy C class. If you're willing to hold property in the "neck" of the peninsula, it's going to be a great investment as Park Circle and the lower peninsula are eventually going to meet in the middle. Going to take some time though.
