Non-Owner Occupied Property Taxes

Hi all,

Looking into the possibility of purchasing a SFH in Columbia this fall to live in for 1-2 years and then rent it out. Doing more research, I saw that non-owner occupied properties are assessed a 6% property tax vs. a 4% for owner occupied. Struggling to run calculations on this change- can someone explain how this 2% difference is practically assessed on a property in relation to the effective property tax rate? Thanks!
