Easton fire alarm system requirement

Posted

Hello everyone! I purchased a rental property in Easton earlier and got contacted by an alarm&security system company saying the previous owners of the property had been using them and they would have to notify town if I cancel. And if I don't, the service would be quite pricy at around $700 a year. I then did a search and found the code here: https://ecode360.com/9641617. My question would be for experienced Easton investors here, is this really required? If so, would you recommend a company that could do the work maybe for less?
