Rental license / registration in Bethlehem a requirement? From what I can gather from the city website, Bethlehem does require a rental license or some process to declare a property fit to rent. Other than pointing me to the hard to understand website and the phone number there which I am not sure is actually manned by staff, if anyone can explain to me the requirements and how to meet those requirements, I would appreciate the help!

@Sheryl Sitman Hi Sheryl, Chad is correct.  You will need to obtain a clear Certificate of Occupancy.  Call and get the initial inspection scheduled, get them payment before the date of that inspection.  The inspector will come out and check the property and provide a report of anything that needs to be brought up to code.  You have 30 days officially to complete the repairs, but they understand some things take more time.  Once you have completed the list, schedule the re-inspection and they will come out and hopefully pass it, then provide the clear C/O.

If I can try and answer anything else, just let me know and good luck!
