Insight on cost to demo

Jordan Hall
Posted

I usually do my own demo so I’ve never gotten an estimate but I am currently in the middle of a project and a deal has popped up. The only way I can think to make it work is to sub some things out, demo being one of them. Having never hired anyone to do this I have no clue what to budget to see if it would even be feasible. Can anyone give me a ball park estimate on what the cost might be?

The house is 1900 sq feet with lath and plaster. First floor , second floor , and finished attic all will need demoed to the studs.

For partial demos yes, like you I do a lot of my own demo but they have saved my bacon on a couple occasions. Once I had a place I couldn’t get a dumpster in due to hill/street config, went so far as to even try Bagster since it was only a 2 room demo. But even WM with their boom arm Bagster truck wouldn’t go because of nearby power lines. It was them or I had to hump everything out in trash bags.

They work with investors all of the time and some of my friends that aren’t DIY inclined swear by them for any cleanup or demo needs.
