Delayed title work - any suggestion
I'm curious about what is the general turnaround time for title search and commitment in the Pittsburgh area?
I am starting slow investment in a few properties here but the title agent I seem to have selected is a bit flaky. My first deal got botched up and cancelled due to delayed title and second one was just in time after repeatedly following up. A third one is now again in limbo for over 40 days now.
I'm new to the real estate scene, but is this normal in this domain? I was thinking of pulling out of this last deal to change the agent but I don't know what impact it may have on my prior insurance policies which have been underwritten by this agent (if anything was to arise)
