Can a buyer see the sellers closing doc's?

Have a closing appointment tomorrow and not getting a straight answer. The seller is renting back for 2 months or more while his house is being finished. It will be a rental so that is all good. He is paying rent for 2 months upfront according to the sale agreement. When I got the closing statement there is no credit for rent. The escrow agent said he is to bring a check. When I got a call to come in (different person each time and different signer) they said they thought it was being deducted from his proceeds. The weird thing is he wanted to stay for 2 months free. I want to see his closing statement but is that now not allowed?
