Looking for Dayton Contractor Recommendations
I'm currently contracted for a Duplex built in 1928 in the Belmont neighborhood of Dayton. Went through an inspection and uncovered a lot of things that should have been updated but was not. Some big things include:
- outdated electrical system (fuse panels and knob and tube wiring)
- some corroded cast iron plumbing
- evidence of termites
- landscape is slightly sloped on one side of the exterior that causes water to seep into the basement. Inspector did not think there was foundation damage but he recommended excavating the walkway to create drainage
Does anybody have recommendations for good plumbers, electricians, or a general contractor that can provide estimates?

I used Bonham Electric after hearing good things about them and seeing they had great reviews. They did a full electrical inspection for me and gave a detailed quote for repairs. I don’t have a plumber to recommend, but I understand that corroded pipes can cause lead poisoning so hope you find one soon!
