Eviction Moratorium Extension

Hi everyone, in case you haven't heard, and judging by the attendance you haven't (Sorry, couldn't resist the Major League quote there), the Federal Eviction Moratorium has been extended through June. With that being said, Toledo Fair Housing has a good resource page on what this means for Residents as well as Owners, as well as a link to the City of Toledo Rental Assistance Program: https://www.toledofhc.org/covi...

There is also still money available from the Ohio Rental Relief program from last October. If you contact your local Community Action Agency, https://oacaa.org/agency-direc..., you can see if Residents would qualify for this Ohio aid.

What has everyone else been experiencing recently with the Moratorium?

@Dave Poeppelmeier There was also a recent ruling by a Federal judge that struck down the eviction moratorium as unconstitutional. In the article it did say the Federal government could appeal the ruling, and my guess is they probably will, this simply adds another wrinkle to the entire debate.

If I had to guess what will happen next is that this will be appealed and pending the outcome of that appeal end up going to the Supreme Court, where I would guess it will be struck down as unconstitutional. That entire process may take another year to work out and likely will be of little assistance to property owners before the moratorium ends on its own in June.
