Requesting Handyman and Eviction help References

Hi All,

I'm an out of town landlord that has been buying real estate properties in Columbus Ohio for a few years now. In the past, I have always relied on local family members (parents) to help out with property turn fixes, 3 day notices, and the like. Because of health issues, my family is not able to help me any longer and I'm looking for references for the below needs from the forum.

  • Handymen - I expect to have 3-4 turns all coming up at the same time on May 1. Appreciate if anyone can recommend some "handypersons" for painting and general property turn fixes
  • 3 Day Notice / Eviction - I also have a non-paying tenant and could use assistance with a 3-Day notice, and potential court appearance.

Thanks for your help and references in advance.

Hey Michael,

I don't have a reliable recommendation for a handyman, but regarding someone to appear for court, I believe in the state of Ohio it either needs to be you (if it's owned under your name) or an attorney (if it's owned under an LLC.). I don't think you can send a non-attorney to appear on your behalf.

As far as posting the actual 3-day notice, I'm happy to help with that. Pretty easy job.

Thanks,

Brad
