Can we buy a property 2 miles away from a reservoir?

Hi, We just saw a property near a reservoir which is 2 miles away. Need to know is it safe to proceed with that property? Does it cause any issues during flooding?

Two miles is pretty far, but I would look at the flood zone map layer on Meck's GIS.
