New Investor Interested in Multifamily in Brooklyn, NY

Hi BP Community!

My partner and I have been renting in NYC for several years and are now interested in purchasing a multifamily in Brooklyn, NY to live in and potentially rent out (house hack). We've started looking into several neighborhoods, but would love to hear from the community on any key hurdles or prioritized areas in the borough. Our budget is ~$650K total (preapproved), with some flexibility if needed.

Any tips, insight or ideas of feasibility around this notion would be much appreciated! Happy to connect and discuss further as well, as we're actively beginning to look to purchase.

Thanks,

Melissa
