Should I become a Real estate agent before investing?
Hi I am a Registered Nurse highly interested in real estate investing. However because I am a complete novice I feel it would be beneficial if I became a licensed agent. Is this a waste of time/money? Both my husband and I are getting into the business and think it may be beneficial for one of us to be an agent. I eventually also want to make real estate a full time career option. What are the pros and cons of going agent first?

@Stacey Momo, if you really just want to be an investor, I think your time is better spent learning about investing (not to mention saving the money). If you have an actual desire to be an agent, or you're clear about that being part of your long-term plan (e.g. doing flips and saving on the commissions), then it's worth it.
You certainly don't need to be an agent to be a very successful investor. IMO, there are so many rabbit holes in this business, why go jump in one on purpose?
