Jersey City, NJ Rental Property - New Investor

Anthony Stella
Posted

Hi everyone my name is Anthony!

I am a new investor looking into the Jersey City/Hoboken area. I will be living there and am interested in purchasing a multifamily (primarily a duplex) rental property in the area to live in and rent using an FHA loan. I was wondering if anyone knew the Jersey City area and what neighborhoods are desirable as well as any areas to avoid.

I really appreciate your help.

Hi @Anthony Stella -

Step 1 is figuring out where you're comfortable. There's generally a trade-off between desirability (of a given area) and the cost of property. Next step is figuring out what type of project you're comfortable with and what your deal criteria looks like.

Feel free to shoot me a PM. I'd be happy to connect you with some people who can help.

Best,

Ryan
