House-hack in Las Vegas
Hi all, not sure if it's still possible but I am on the lookout for a property to house-hack here in Las Vegas, and I'm need a knowledgeable real estate agent to help me out.
Whether it's a single-family home (SFH), a fourplex, or anything in between, I'm open to exploring various options that as long as I can live in one unit and rent out the others to offset the mortgage.
It's my first time! I would greatly appreciate any guidance or advice that anyone can provide.
Here's a bit more about my situation:
- Budget: I have a downpayment of $50,000 to $100,000.
- Timeframe: Ideally I can close within the next few months.
- Location: Open to considering various locations, the safer/quieter, the better.
- Credit score: 750+
- Employment status: Employed, Full-time

Try to,avoid our SMF. They are some of the worst choices in the valley. North of Cheyenne, west of 5th street is all pretty good. I’ve heard good about west of rainbow and south summerlin parkway but have never inester there.
Until last year I never considered new builds as the delta was too large. But prices are closer and the builders will help you with closing costs and the rates.
Good luck.
