Can I Recover Cost off cleaning Purchased lot with burned trailer

David Courington
Posted

I purchased the taxes for a certificate on a lot across the street with a burned non repairable house trailer on it. If I  pay to have the mess cleaned up, will the owner have to repay me if she decides a year down the road to redeem the lot?

I would not spend a dime until you redeem the certificate and take ownership of the property through the tax deed.  Why would you want clean it up before this?   You have no liability as the certificate holder.
