Short sale acceptance rate

Posted

What are the chances of my short sale being accepted?

I have a house under contract, but the home has a few tax liens and is going through a mortgage foreclosure.

The first lien against the home is 50k, I submitted a short sale offer to hopefully get the lien settled. If I can't get it lower than that should I let the home just go through a foreclosure? The ARV is 90-100k, the property only needs about 15k of repairs.

The tenants have already left the property, and have a foreclosure against them. The tax lien was sold a year ago, however the purchaser couldn’t fulfill the total loan within the 30 days. Forcing the home to go through another foreclosure sale.
