Tax Lien School of Hard Knocks!

Well, I am officially enrolled in the School of Hard Knocks!

I've been studying real hard on Tax Lien and Tax Deed Investing in Alabama...starting off in the Birmingham, Alabama area.  Did some research and found a property in Ensley with a Tax Lien for $1200, bought the lien and received the Tax Lien Certificate from the State just yesterday.

Since I'm in Texas, I did a Google Maps view of the 3 bd, 2 ba property to see a boarded up home.  I saw potential...not much, but some.

Just a little while ago, I remembered to go into Google Earth which provides more recent views of the property.  And guess what?  The view of the property from April 2018 is not exactly the same as the view from Google Maps...Google Maps shows the view from 2013.

Result:  April 2018 shows the property is an empty lot!  Yep...house has been removed.

Maybe someone will want to buy a perfect place for a shopping mall?

I'm open to suggestions as I hide in misery.....LOL.

@Robert Sims Developed lot on a main 4 lane street with medium traffic? I say make some lemonade out of your lemon and put up some advertising (billboard or the like, whatever codes allow) and have some companies give you some passive income for advertising for them.
