Alabama Tax Sale & Redemption

Posted

@deniseevans A friend passed away August 2015. I purchased the property at tax auction in May 2016. He owned the property outright. A trailer on the property is not listed with the legal description & in his mothers name (deceased). The trailer is being rented out by his brother & sister in law. They live in Mississippi. This past May they requested to redeem the property. I signed the form & left it at the local revenue office for them. They still have not paid the redemption. My local office said we can still the taxes since they have forfieted. Is this true? I was also told when we pay the taxes this year we will get the tax deed.
