Newcomer Looking to Discuss Notes

Marcus Cathren
Posted

Greetings All,

My name is Marcus, I am 22yo and originally from Los Angeles, CA but am currently serving overseas for the next few years. I've recently taken an interest in investing in notes me both performing and non-performing. I have did the most research I can can via YouTube, forums and books. However, with all the knowledge I gained I'm still hesitant to get my feet wet. Being overseas it's hard enough as is trying to get business done stateside by phone and email as is, let alone trying to manage a note with no experience. I'm posting here today in search of any helpful tips, advice, your experiences and encounters etc. Any feedback will be much appreciated!

My recommendation for your first note especially being overseas is to look for a JV partner who will allow you to be active and learn from that experience. Once you get your feet wet then you can finalize getting your systems and your business in order especially when not stateside. A note business can be run from anywhere as long as you have proper team in place and documentation (power of attorneys etc).

I learned my note knowledge from Scott Carson - you may want to check out his trainings, websites etc as he has a ton of content available
