Average Day for a Note Investor

Happy Friday everyone. Recently I’ve been diving deeply into exploring the note industry and learning as much as possible. I realized that I spend a good chunk of my time during the work week (shh don’t tell my manager) reading through BP posts and making pages of notes. I’m going to be choosing a fund and investing a decent sum of capital soon; however, my long term goal is to be a more active investor and make this my full time job. Long story short, I would love to hear about what everyone does on a day to day basis, aka what does the average day of a note investor consist of?

Tyree Etheridge as a business owner there is no “typical” day. For me as a note investor I also work full time and do notes in the AM and evening. I timeblock my schedule and make sure it is extremely organized. If you only have a few notes, the day to day management of notes is very slow. All the work is done upfront when buying the note then once it is acquired if you have a system in place and coordinate with your special servicer, servicer and attorney etc. your a manager managing them and checking in on making sure they are meeting deadlines. I have 35 active notes right now and can manage it with ease because of implementing systems and structure.
