Today's Tax Deed Auction

Held today in Muncie, Indiana,

Actually, it's not technically a deed sale. In Indiana, it's called a Certificate Sale, like a lien sale, but redemption period only 120 days and 95% of them don't redeem, so basically you're buying the property.

51 bidders, give or take. 300+ plots of land/property.  There was at least one sale where I'm 99.9% sure the owner's friend was bidding for said owner to avoid a foreclosure.

Won a decent duplex and called it a day.  A more than acceptable home went for $6500, kinda kicking myself for passing on it.

There was one person who bid, perhaps accidentally, on a meth house - it's always a good idea to talk to the neighbors.  Although sometimes when you're checking out a property in a less than ideal location, the "neighbors" run up to talk to you - if you get my drift.

Overall, not bad.
